How to choose the right opamp
Hi, if i consider a signal with a defined bandwith, how can i choose the right opamp to amplify it? For example, if consider a signal with a maximum frequency of 1kHz i think i should use an opamp with first pole equal or greater to 1kHz: is it right? If so, what is the phase effect on the real signal?... more »

where to buy reliable carbon 1 watt R's ?
As the header states. I need a source for good 5% carbon 1 watt to correct a problem with an older IRF 1500 service monitor.. I prefer to use the original type parts in hopes that I don't need to calibrate the deflection/sweep board. For some reason, I only have detailed alignment and block... more »

ESD protection
I'm having trouble understanding ESD protection. I hope somebody can help. Should an anti-static mat on a lab bench be connected directly to ground or connected to ground through a 1Mohm resistor? What is an anti-static mat made out of? Is it conductive? If so then why don't I measure any resistance if I poke ohmmeter probes into two... more »

DRL
I need to add daytime running lights (DRL-s) to my car, and since I have separate high and low beam lights, I thought I could use high beams for DRL-s. First idea was to connect high beams in series, but since both are grounded I think that I can not do that. Than I searched for information if my car ('87 BMW E30 316) had factory... more »
