Symptoms are as follows: Yesterday the printer worked fine,( though it has gone through stages of bad prining before) i accidentally left it on overnight and today it was streaky and blue was not printing, i did several head cleanings , and the printing got worse. I removed the almost empty cartridges and cleaned the underside of the print assembly with a method i have used before in which i move the print heads over a dampened piece of low lint cloth. (This usually works.) I repeated this until the cloth was almost free of ink. I installed new ink, first test showed good, except for blue and yellow, head cleaning and then test...now virtually zero ink flowing.
I have seen mentioned something about a purge tube that become disconnected, but the links are either very unclear as to how to access this tube of the links no longer work.
suggestions? i am adept at taking things apart, no issue there if necessary. Thank you for your time.
Sorry I was off line for a day, so I just got to this. I have responded to your private email request which will hopefully give you the information your require.

You must use genuine epson cartridges for this model, even though compatibles are available they will cause trouble and therefore not worth the money saved.
Even if you are using genuine epson cartridges, I know from experience that epson printers all have a tendency to become blocked if not used every single day to print at least one full-colour picture which purges every ink-colour. The reason for blocking-up is that the print-head is fitted inside the printer not mounted on the cartridge, so it doesn't get replaced with every cartridge change like on some other printers. The head wears and clogs with old ink.
I changed my allegiance to Canon after my Epson printer refused to clear the blockage despite soaking nozzles in cleaning fluid overnight. The Canon is giving me no such problems.
