Some post take me over a day to put together. Invariably at some point
saving stops working. It appears that there is some sort of timeout
mechanism, or a problem with date changing, or maybe my broadband
connection drops momentarily.

My workaround is to select HTML view, cut the whole post to the
clipboard, return to posts, edit the post again, select HTML, replace
the contents with the clipboard. I can then save again.

It seems like a major bug, somebody less savvy could lose a lot of
work.
