What's happenin', people? I just ate a sandwich. Something called a 'club.' And then I ate three chocolate chip cookies.
Alabama is off today, so I doubt I'll watch any college football. Sometimes I do enjoy watching the last few minutes of (non-Alabama) college football games, particularly if it's close. I'm sure I'll do some channel-surfing -- or *flipping*, as I refer to it -- a little later.
Otherwise, I'm just going to be sitting by the mailbox, eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute 'Pretty in Pink' 2009 calender. Get yours today, while supplies last ...

trying to catch up reading AFL, thinking about seeing the new Bond movie, or watch Gomer Pyle on dvd (Season 1) (maybe some Get Smart season 1 also, who knows)

I think there's an episode of 'Gomer Pyle' Season 1 in which Pyle's antics infuriate Sergeant Carter.

I'm halfway watching Oklahoma demolish Texas Tech, and wondering how this is happening.
Oct. 4: Texas Tech 58 - Kansas State 28 Oct. 25: Oklahoma 58 - Kansas State 35
Oklahoma's defensive coordinator (Venables) used to be our defensive coordinator. Tech's high-power passing offense is largely being shut down.
My possible future brides, the K-State women's basketball team, will receive their Big 12 championship rings tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to that.
We're pretty far into Sweeps month now, and I haven't seen very much special material. Remember the old days, when LSDL would have run shows from another city during Sweeps? After looking through my episode logs for November so far, I think the best thing the show produced this month wasn't on TV. It was the Nov. 13 "Tony Mendez Show," "Tony's Mixed Messages," with all the "Late Show Unfair Edits." I thought that was an awesome episode.
It's time to get busy and pick the pies. Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow pie guessers.

It was very good...but no new TMS last week leaves a void.

And, they are postponing February sweeps next year due to the digital switch over. The February sweeps period will be in March. They think six million people will have their sets go blank because they didn't hear about the switch over. I don't understand how six million people could possibly not know about it.

Still trying to recover from the news that a semi-major celebrity has recently moved to our little town--- can't wait to run into her at Safeway and make a complete slobbering ass out of myself. Better yet, her fiance is someone who qualifies as genuine Comedy Royalty (though I've never found him particularly funny, his resume is awfully impressive).
The teen daughters went to see the "Twilight" film: I think they were legally obligated. Said it was so bad it was good.
Watched Oregon State (barely) keep their Rose Bowl hopes alive at Arizona. Times like this I wish I were the sports editor of the local paper so I could write headlines like:
"Close Shave For Beavers"
"Beavers Could Still Smell Like Roses"
"Streaking Beavers Stay Hot"
Getting geeked up for Thanksgiving. This year, I think we'll have turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. Crazy, huh?

Someone bigger than Patrick Duffy?
Traci

Tonya Harding?
