Ex-CIA Officials Tied To Rendition Program And Faulty Iraq Intel
Tapped to Head Obama’s Intelligence Transition Team

In too many ways, it all looks like business as usual to me.

Could it be possible that they have learned from their mistakes and
have revamped the programs for optimal functionality?  The 9 11
incident surely created an atmosphere of chaos on all levels of
government and the private sector.  Things are much settled now and
easily put into perspective, even in the retrospective sense.

Yes slip, it could be a possibility. However, when each of these
bureaucrat’s life long history in office is examined, the way they do
‘business’ appears to have been firmly crystalized.  If your research
differs, please let me know. Mine not only suggests the nature of
criminality and thuggery, but confirms it.

There were two shrill factions during the election.  One brazenly
declared Obama the Savior and that only he ... oops He could bring
change to Washington.  The other declared that he would end life on
this planet.  (Because really, no one voted FOR McCain, even in
Republican Utah here, people only voted AGAINST Obama.)

Both sides are wrong.  We will only see more of the same.  There is no
difference except in the face everybody sees.

I'll certainly support any effort Obama makes to try and foster
cooperation between the parties.  But I'm not such an optamist that
I'm going to hold my breath until he does it.  I think you nailed it
on the head.  More of the same, brilliantly selling itself as Change.

There will be change because there must be change for the path has led
to failure and the people demand a new road. Perhaps the old ways will
be disguised as new as the wolf in sheep's clothing but I would rather
doubt that and hope for a sincere effort on a bipartisan level that
results in "gruffs civilized world".

Organisational research has long shown that change is not a very
rational process.  Obama looks the part, yet so did Blair - Blair was
utterley conned by our secret services, or already CIA if the worst
fears we can muster turn out to be true.  There are already a couple
of novels suggesting the latter.  We should currently be looking for
ways to form a new economy, yet nearly all the news is about trying to
fix the old one we already know is burning the planet.  Foreign policy
usually goes down the same old, stupid route.  I'd like to see the US
and EU move closer together in leading a new formation of democracies
that reclaim the word "community".

Flaubert wrote in 1875 that  ‘Human stupidity is a bottomless abyss,
and the ocean I see from my window seems to me quite small in
comparison.’ The implication is less that we have scaled historic
heights of catastrophism, stupidity and complaining, than that humans
have long been a catastrophic, stupid bunch of complainers.  There are
arguments about at the moment that we have prevented ourselves seeing
much sense because we cannot accept complaint and are continually
"revisionist".  This is generally the case with our security services
and default positions in macht politik.  I can offer a review of some
of the philosophy - yet this inevitably stretches into difficult work
that I doubt can offer much than maybe a glimpse of insight amdist
feelings we are being bullshitted.
